MUSIC CLASSES

We can’t wait to sing and dance with you!

There are 5 main reasons that our families come back to LoveBug & Me time and again:

  • OUR MUSIC: Our high-quality music program features real instruments and includes award-winning LoveBug original and traditional children’s songs.
  • OUR AWARDS: We have been voted “Best of Los Angeles” for the past six years by the readers of trusted parenting publications such as Red Tricycle, Hulafrog, and more.
  • OUR TEACHERS: We have the highest standards for our “Magical Music Educators.” Each teacher is carefully chosen to contribute their unique energy and talents to each heart-led class!
  • OUR MASCOT: If you’ve ever been to a LoveBug class or event, you know that our puppet friend, “LoveBug” holds a special place in everyone’s hearts.
  • OUR VARIETY: We have special themes each session to keep things interesting and fresh for both children and grown-ups.

See what our customers are saying about us on Yelp.

Each music class is 45 minutes of singing, dancing, instrument playing, puppets, creative movement, learning, and fun! We have dance parties, puppets, bubbles, imaginative play, and parachutes! Our songs are a mixture of traditional favorites, original LoveBug & Me songs, and classics loved by all ages. We introduce musical concepts and activities that aid child development while planting the seeds of language, math, and a lifetime of music appreciation.

The smallest of babies can benefit from the enhanced brain development, socialization, listening, motor skills, and bonding that our music classes provide. Young children are drawn to rhythms reminding them of their mother’s heartbeat. Toddlers, preschoolers, and Pre-K-aged lovebugs will find that our music classes are developmentally appropriate and fun for all ages and our program is geared for 0-5 years old.

Our classes are developmentally appropriate, allowing every child to approach the activity at their own pace and progress to the next stage of music development on their own timetable. Mixed-age classes provide children with the opportunity to interact with groups of different ages, to be models for younger children, and have older children, parents, and teachers model for them.

For more details, click here.

INDOOR: We provide all materials for class. Please do not bring food or non-essential drinks into the classroom. Socks are recommended as we are a shoe-free venue.

OUTDOOR: We suggest one that is waterproof since the grass could be wet from the morning dew. Keep in mind that our outdoor classes can be sunny, we do our best to provide shade but that is not guaranteed. Please bring water.

YES, we provide a variety of instruments for our lovebugs and grownups to play! We sanitize ALL of the instruments and props prior to each class using CDC recommended, non-toxic cleaners. All instruments are removed from circulation after each use and are fully cleaned and sanitized prior to the next class using hospital grade Hypochlorous Acid. Instruments and props may not be shared.

Please see our most up to date Health & Safety Protocols in our Wellness Policy above.

We have had so many lovebugs take their first steps in our classes! We encourage kids to be kids. The only rule is to stay safe. During times of social distancing, we require all families to make sure to maintain a safe distance. If you find that your child becomes upset or overwhelmed, we recommend stepping outside of class until they are feeling better.

We all want our little lovebugs to stay safe and healthy.

MESSY SENSORY ART

Come get messy with us!

There are 5 main reasons that our families come back to LoveBug & Me time and again:

  • OUR AWARDS: We have been voted “Best of Los Angeles” for the past six years by the readers of trusted parenting publications such as Red Tricycle, Hulafrog, and more.
  • OUR TEACHERS: We have the highest standards for our “Magical Art Educators.” Each teacher is carefully chosen to contribute their unique energy and talents to each heart-led class!

Our Messy Sensory Art Classes are for children ages 1-5 years old. A good way for you to tell if your baby will most benefit from MSA is if they are walking or toddlering around. This way they can explore as they wish and fully experience what our class has to offer!

We ask for any child under 12 months of age to be monitored closely, to ensure they aren’t grabbing at any materials that may be a choking hazard for their age.

Of course! Drop ins are limited per class, so please look at our online scheduler to find a class time that works for you.

The cost of a Messy Sensory Art drop in is $36 plus a $6 materials fee, equalling to $42 total

Sibling drop in is $30 total ($24 + $6 materials fee)

Yes! Our classes fill quickly and we encourage you to register for your class, drop-ins, and make-ups* in advance through our website. We highly recommend that you check our website for the latest updates on class days/times/teachers before you register. You can also contact our office if you need further assistance.

*Make Up classes must be completed within your registered enrollment period of the missed classes. We appreciate your understanding.

Siblings are welcome to sit back and observe, but if they do decide to participate with either the Art Project or Sensory Bins, we will ask for you to pay our $30 Sibling drop in fee. We do ask for children under 12 months to be kept a safe distance away from the materials and for older siblings not participating to still be well monitored.

Sensory play has many great benefits for your little Lovebug! Our classes will help your child expand their vocabulary, practice their fine motor coordination, develop social-emotional skills, learn cause & effect, and so much more. Adults can practice patience and are invited to get out of their comfort zone to embrace the MESS!

We offer makeup classes throughout the entire series. Make sure to mark yourself absent prior to the start of your class time to qualify. Make ups must be used within your registered enrollment period and can be found on our Make Up Scheduler

Unfortunately Messy Sensory Art classes don’t transfer to Music and vice versa. If you are interested in trying out one of our Music classes, we recommend signing up for a Music Drop In on our class scheduler!

Tuition is 100% refundable up to 14 days prior to class start date. A $25 processing fee will be subtracted from the refund amount. After that date, there are no refunds or credits toward future series.

Due to space, we allow up to 2 adults per family. We appreciate your understanding.

In this class, your Lovebug will be learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity. Each week we will have two unique sensory bins and an art project to take home. Sensory Art classes are open-ended and child-led, yet adults are expected to actively participate, observe, and be fully attentive to your child’s safety throughout the class. We are a shoeless studio, so please be prepared to take shoes off upon arrival.

Both child and adult should be dressed to get messy! Clothes may get wet, stained, or dirty, so even a change of clothes for after class is recommended. We are a shoeless studio, please be prepared to take shoes off upon arrival.

We recommend both kids and adults wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting messy! Every week we introduce new materials to explore, and clothes could easily get wet, stained, or dirty. We do provide childrens aprons in each class and plenty of baby wipes for cleaning up!

Parties & Playdates FAQ

Bring LoveBug & Me Music to your next event!

There are 5 main reasons that our families invite us to celebrate their little lovebug’s birthday parties:

  • OUR MUSIC: Our high-quality music program features real instruments and includes award-winning LoveBug original and traditional children’s songs.
  • OUR AWARDS: We have been voted “Best of Los Angeles” for the past six years by the readers of trusted parenting publications such as Red Tricycle, Hulafrog, and more.
  • OUR TEACHERS: We have the highest standards for our “Magical Music Educators.” Each teacher is carefully chosen to contribute their unique energy and talents to each heart-led celebration, where your child is the center of attention!
  • OUR MASCOT: If you’ve ever been to a LoveBug class or event, you know that our puppet friend, “LoveBug” holds a special place in everyone’s hearts and he’ll be there to celebrate!
  • OUR VARIETY: We work with each family to cater the music and activities to your specifications. Do you have song requests or a special theme? We bring that to life through our interactive performance.

See what our customers are saying about us on Yelp.

Parachute play, bubbles, storytelling, puppets are all included in the fee. For an additional cost, we can also add a jumbo drum, temporary tattoos, or arts & crafts.

Absolutely! We will do our best to cater our entertainment specifically to your child’s party.

Yes, please let us know if you have a preference and, if schedules permit, we will make it happen.

For parties with 1-12 kids, you can opt to have 1 or 2 Magical Music Educators. One MME works well however some families enjoy a bigger sound with 2 musicians, harmonies, and more instruments. For parties over 12 kids, we require 2 MMEs.

45 mins after your party starts is the sweet spot. Guests want a chance to have a few bites of food and say hello to their friends before the entertainment begins. However, when you wait too long, kiddies (and parents) get tired.

Our MMEs love kids but are not responsible for the children during the party, therefore parents need to stay with their children. The parties that are the most fun are the ones when all of the adults participate. Encourage your guests (even those without kids) to join in the fun. We promise that it will make for a memorable event!

Our MMEs usually have other events booked after yours and do not have much flexibility. If you request your MME to start later than the scheduled time, they still have to end at the originally agreed to end time (give or take 5 minutes).

Two hours is a good length of time for babies or toddlers (maximum 3 hours). Kids (and parents) can get overwhelmed with long parties.

This is a personal preference. 45-60 minutes is perfect for kids ages 1-2. Older kids might enjoy an added feature such as face painting or temporary tattoos, which takes extra time depending on the number of children. Ask us for details via [email protected]

Price depends on the number of Magical Music Educators you will be needing and how long you would like us to entertain. See our PARTY OPTIONS for more details.

We require payment in full to hold your spot. It is 100% refundable up until 15 days prior to your event. The fee is 50% refundable within 15 days of your event. We will always work with you if you need to reschedule.

Please speak with us directly to see if we can come up with something that works for you and your family.

If the Magical Music Educator is available to stay later, there will be an additional charge of $50 per Magical Music Educator for each 15 minutes over the originally scheduled time. This balance is due at the end of the performance (cash preferred).

Tips are appreciated for excellent service.
